KaraB was founded by Kara Buttimer in 2003. She had become so tired of carrying the same old, boring, black nylon laptop bag that she just had to do something about it. After talking to her friends and colleagues, she learned they felt the same way; everyone was frustrated by the lack of unique, fashionable, yet well-designed laptop bags. Having been in the fashion industry for over 15 years, Kara was able to collaborate with a number of factories and friends to create alternatives. There are four different laptop bag styles, plus an additional purse style, all characterized by quality construction, functionality, and versatility. Each style has special features to make it even more useful than the usual bag—from adjustable shoulder straps to styles that convert from a briefcase to a backpack. Kara B Cosmo Purse The Cosmo purse is designed to fit nicely into one of the larger Kara B laptop bags, making it the perfect bag for short lunch breaks or after work outings. It has a 36" long strap which offers versatility in carrying (on the shoulder or slung across the body). Features a zipper close at the top with leather logo tab. Available in Amethyst Purple, Peridot Green, Bronze, Pewter, Ruby Red (shown here), and Sapphire Blue. Kara B Traveler Tote A sleek vertical messenger tote that can be worn on the shoulder or can be slung across the body as a cross-strap messenger using the adjustable 28”-54” strap. The padded computer compartment fits up to a 15 1/4" laptop: measures 15" x 11" x 2" with a Velcro strap. Inside, there’s a pocket for papers/folders or computer accessories, a zippered pocket, a cell phone pocket as well as a key hook. The outside has an open slip pocket with a Velcro flap closure and a cell phone/umbrella pocket. Four metal feet on the bottom protect the bag when it is resting on the floor. Top flap with magnetic snap closure over a top tab with hook and loop closure. The padded computer compartment fits up to a 17" laptop and also contains a compartment for papers, folders and computer accessories, as well as small zippered pocket, cell phone pocket and key ring. The outside features a cell phone/umbrella pocket, a slip pocket for papers and four metal feet on the bottom for protection when resting on the floor. Velcro flap closure.
